Why I’m Running

Why I’m Running

Family court is where the legal system meets people at their most vulnerable. They deserve a judge who meets them with both expertise and humanity.

I’ve spent my career advocating for families during some of their most difficult moments — custody disputes, divorces, and the critical decisions that shape children’s futures. As a family law attorney, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when the system works and when it fails.

As a pro tem judge and court-appointed arbitrator, I’ve also experienced the responsibility of being the decision-maker. What I’ve learned is this: the outcome matters, but so does the experience. People remember whether they felt heard. They remember whether someone took the time to explain what was happening and why.

My Values

Making Justice Understandable

Legal proceedings can be overwhelming, especially for people navigating the system for the first time. A judge should explain what is happening and why. Clearly. Compassionately. No one should leave a courtroom more confused than when they entered.

Every Voice Matters

Whether you have an attorney or not, your story matters. I am committed to ensuring that every person who comes before the court is heard and understood.

Children Come First

In family court, the decisions we make shape children’s lives for years to come. The well-being of children must always be the guiding priority in every custody and family matter.

Dignity in Every Proceeding

Families in crisis deserve timely, thoughtful decisions delivered with respect. The court should treat every person with dignity.
